Arry’s Roofing Employee Spotlight: Sandi Drobish

administrative assistant, Arry's Roofing, Tarpon Springs, FLSandi Drobish is another new face on the Arry’s team, and has been with the company about one year. As an administrative assistant, her job responsibilities include answering phones, setting up new jobs, handling permitting, ordering supplies, processing mail and assisting wherever needed. Sandi describes herself as “very organized and detail-oriented,” and we put her skills to good use here at Arry’s!

Sandi believes Arry’s Roofing is set apart from other Dunedin, FL, roofing contractors by the company’s concern for both its business and its people. “[The owners] treat you like family and really listen to you when you have concerns, issues or suggestions,” says Sandi. “They are a family-run business and they are very hands-on in the success of not just the company, but the success of their employees. It’s a great working environment.”

Sandi and her husband, David, have been married eight years. They own an auto repair shop that he runs in Tarpon Springs. Their daughter, Tia, is heading into her final year at Cooley Law School in Brandon. Sandi is most proud of her daughter. “She just amazes me. She is a true survivor, very driven, independent and I am blessed to be her mother.”

The family also has nine cats: six that live at home and three at their shop.

In their spare time, Sandi and David love to spend time on their boat, going on cruises and enjoying time with friends and family. If she could go anywhere for a day, Sandi says she would love to go to Italy with her husband to drink wine and eat amazing Italian food with the locals.

Because she is originally from Syracuse, Sandi’s favorite sports teams are the Syracuse Orange (college basketball) and the New York Yankees. Her favorite places to dine out are The Capital Grille or Gratzzi’s. On TV, she never misses The Voice and The Blacklist.

In the future, she would love to “travel from state to state with my husband, even if just for a couple months.” If she could give others one piece of advice about life, it would be this: “Family is very important. Spend time with them often and create memories that will last a lifetime.”

Thanks, Sandi, for being an important part of the Arry’s Roofing family!

On October 24, we announced that Sandy Hawley of Largo was voted the winner of our third No Roof Left Behind campaign. More than 30 entries were received from local residents of Pinellas County in need of a new roof, or from individuals who wanted to nominate a friend or family member in need of a new roof. A volunteer committee narrowed the entries down to four finalists, and members of the community voted on the winner.  Voting took place September 20 through October 19.

DSC01810Our Installation Celebration began the morning of November 1, when the Arry’s roofing crew arrived at the Hawley home on 13th Avenue SW. As our crew worked diligently to install the new roof, we were joined by our friends from local radio stations WDUV and 107.3 THE EAGLE, who broadcasted live from the event. In addition, we were pleased to be joined by Elsa and Anna, characters from the hit movie Frozen. Elsa and Anna made sure all the kids on hand had a great time!

Latest Arry’s “No Roof Left Behind” Winner Announced

Sandy winnerNovember 1, 2014 is another very special day for Arry’s Roofing Services. It’s the day that we will be installing a new roof for Sandra Hawley of Largo! Sandy is the latest winner in our No Roof Left Behind promotion. Previous winners of a free Arry’s roof include Linda Hunsinger of Saint Petersburg and Cody Hughes of Tampa.

No Roof Left Behind is a national grassroots effort dedicated to helping communities provide assistance to local homeowners who have fallen on hard times. Residents nominate someone that they believe is deserving of a free roof by submitting a story and pictures of the needy roof. The public then votes for the winner, and a local contractor provides the manpower to perform the installation. As a certified No Roof Left Behind installer, Arry’s Roofing is pleased to donate our time and expertise to serve our fellow community members.

Sandy was nominated by her daughter for the No Roof Left Behind program. Currently Sandy is in danger of losing her home on 13th Avenue Southwest due to lack of homeowner’s insurance – which she does not qualify for because of the poor condition of her roof. She is a three-time cancer survivor, a mother to many, and is currently raising two grandchildren.

Sandy was one of four finalists selected by a committee of volunteers. Voting by local residents took place online from September 20 through October 19, 2014. Matthew Housh, Vice President of Arry’s Roofing, looks forward to assisting in the effort to make Sandy’s home a better place to live. “We’re very happy for Sandy. She has had many challenges yet has always been willing to help others in need. It’s her turn to get a helping hand.”

An Installation Celebration will take place on November 1st beginning at 8:00AM, when our Largo FL roofers will be on-site to begin the replacement process. This will be family-friendly neighborhood event, and all are welcome to attend! We also welcome the participation of local businesses and community members as sponsors or volunteers. To find out more about this event or No Roof Left Behind, call Arry’s Roofing today at (727) 279-5001.

Four Finalists Announced in Arry’s Roofing’s Latest “No Roof Left Behind” Campaign

Arry's finalistsArry’s Roofing Services is pleased to announce that four finalists have been selected in our latest No Roof Left Behind campaign. No Roof Left Behind is a nationwide program that is specially designed to help communities organize and rally around a local family in need. This will be the third roof installed by Arry’s Roofing as part of this unique community outreach program, and is valued at between $12,000 and $15,000. Past winners include Linda Hunsinger of Saint Petersburg and Cody Hughes of Tampa.

Read more about the finalists:

“Happy rats eviction!” Tarpon Springs, FL. Kathie nominated her friend, Maria, for a free roof. Kathie says Maria is a struggling mother of two teen boys who works multiple jobs to keep her home. Her roof has been leaking for a year, creating mold in the bedrooms. Rats and other animals live under the roof, and the gaps in the roof have led to huge A/C bills. Kathie worries that a hurricane will level a house with such a rotten roof, and would love to give Maria a special gift for her birthday on December 1st.

“Keeping the roof over sandy,” Largo, FL. Sandy’s daughter says her 76-year-old mother has raised 12 children, adopted several others and is currently raising two of her grandchildren because their mother fell into drugs. She has survived three different cancers and is still taking chemo pills for her breast cancer. There are multiple places in Sandy’s house that gush water when it rains, and some places you can see straight to the outside. She is now in jeopardy of losing her house due to lack of homeowner’s insurance which she cannot maintain because of the roof’s poor condition.

“A Single Male Needs Help too,” Clearwater, FL. This 60-year-old, hard-working single veteran was nominated by his brother. He has never had much money, but is always among the first to help someone else in need. His roof is 50 years old and has reached the end of its life expectancy. Without new Clearwater roofing, he cannot maintain insurance which is mandatory to keep his mortgage. His brother worries that this will cause a downward spiral of events from which he will not be able to recover.

“Tarpon Springs couple needs a roof,” Tarpon Springs, FL. These neighbors do not qualify for assistance programs, but still need help. Both are disabled, and recent increases in healthcare insurance costs have cut their income by $800 each month. They have tried to patch their leaking roof but it continues to leak during heavy rains.

To vote for a finalist, please visit our No Roof Left Behind page. Voting is open through October 19th, and a winner will be revealed on October 24th. An installation celebration is scheduled for November 1st. “Having a community come together in behalf of a family in need is what makes promos like No Roof Left Behind really worth it,” says Matthew Housh, Vice President of Arry’s Roofing.

  • Concrete/Clay Tile Roofing Systems. Aesthetically, many homeowners in the Tampa area are drawn to the traditional look, texture and colors of tile. Arry’s Roofing is the roofing contractor Tampa residents trust for expert tile installation and a roof that will last 50 years or more.
  • Asphalt Shingle Roofing Systems. Asphalt shingles are the most commonly used type of shingle and come in a variety of colors and styles. Laminate shingles are thicker and heavier than three-tab shingles and add interesting color, depth and texture to a roof while lasting up to 50 years.
  • Flat and Low-Slope Roofs. These economical and durable systems include traditional built-up and modified bitumen, and single-ply membranes such as TPO, EPDM and PVC. Roof coatings are another option to waterproof a roof and extend its service life.
  • Metal Roofing Systems. Metal offers excellent durability (50 years or more), beauty and resistance to fire and wind uplift, making it a smart choice for Florida homeowners. As a St. Petersburg metal roofing specialist, Arry’s has a full sheet metal shop and a dedicated metal roofing crew.

Arry’s Roofing Employee Spotlight: Ronald Pineda

RonaldRonald Pineda is a new face on the Arry’s Roofing team, having started in his position as Project Manager in January 2014. His job responsibilities include caring for clients, being knowledgeable about products and representing the company well. The Merida, Venezuela, native believes his greatest strengths are his ability to assimilate any accent and “remember everything but where I put my wallet!” He appreciates the opportunity he has to work for an exemplary family and serve the needs of the community.

“Arry’s Roofing is one-of-a-kind, from its product to its employees,” says Ronald. “You go with Arry’s, you won’t ever need another roofing contractor in Tampa Bay.”

“Ronald was an easy addition to the Arry’s team and family, as he was a family friend for many years,” says Matthew Housh, Vice President of Arry’s Roofing. “He has all the intangibles that we would look for in a project manager: integrity, work ethic, passionate, caring, kind, funny, relatable and humble in presentation. Although he did not have much Tampa Bay roofing experience, we knew he had the character and personality for the job, and that he would succeed. Another great aspect is that he is fluent in Spanish, so we can now relate to the Hispanic population. We are very excited about having Ronald on the team!”

Ronald is married to his best friend and the couple has a 15-month-old son, Miquel Alejandro. “They rock my world,” he says. The little family enjoys taking short trips to Orlando to explore and be with family, or Sarasota to enjoy a relaxing beach day and indulge in food.

In his free time, Ronald enjoys fishing, NFL football (he’s a huge Peyton Manning fan) and spending time with family. His favorite place to dine out is anywhere with good company and chicken wings.

One of Ronald’s most important long-term goals is to establish a business that he can leave behind for his children. If he could give others one piece of advice about life, it would be this: “Life is too short to be angry. Forgive.”

Welcome to the Arry’s Roofing family, Ronald!
