Every year, the good folks from Arry’s Roofing join with No Roof Left Behind to give a lucky family a new roof over their head. The winning entry this year came from Kay Eikel who wanted a new roof for her Mom.
“I am a single mom, my 4 year old daughter and I live with my mom who also raised me as a single mom. She works at a school helping ESE kids but her paycheck barely covers the bills, even with my help we do not have enough money for a new roof. My mom is an amazing person, she is always helping other people. She teaches Sunday school and Youth group at church, she is the leader of a TOPS group, she regularly cooks for Genealogy seminars at the library. She also takes care of her elderly mom, her disabled brother and sister, and still somehow helps take care of my daughter and me. She is extremely worried about the roof falling in on us and does not know what to do. She is always helping others, this time I want to help her get a new roof.”
I was happy to sit down with Arry to talk about NRLB and why this program is so important to them as a family run business. We were joined by Jesse Bozarth of Bozarth Contractors and Craig Boyles with Boyles Aluminum who have both been beyond generous with their contribution to NRLB every year.
